OCTOBER 3 Lecture: Revisiting the Artistic Wonders of Montreal’s Churches

2 P.M. to 3:15 P.M. 

Renée Labrèque and Robert Hamilton will present a free lecture titledRevisiting the Artistic Wonders of Montreal’s Churches” at Eleva. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the architecture, sacred art, and history of Montreal’s churches. Our guest speakers will explore the cultural wealth and important role of these churches in the city’s heritage. Each participant will also receive a souvenir booklet. A truly inspiring and informative gathering!

Join us for a fascinating lecture, “Montreal’s Golden Age, 1825–1914, presented by Renée Labrèque and Robert Hamilton. Learn how industrial growth, immigration, and major transportation networks turned Montreal into one of Canada’s most prominent cities. Participants will receive a souvenir bookmark. Come and be part of a special moment of discovery and sharing as we dive into the story of our city!

Let yourself be spirited away in a fun and slightly spooky atmosphere: dress up in your most creative costume and get ready for an evening of surprises, music and good times!

NOVEMBER 4  Presentation by FADOQ: Fall Prevention  

10:30 A.M. to 11:15 A.M. 

Join us for an informative and inclusive presentation on fall prevention hosted by FADOQ to give participants practical advice for staying safe and healthy in their everyday lives. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and discuss this important topic with other residents in a friendly atmosphere.

NOVEMBER 11  Voices of History: The Memory Project

This Remembrance Day, join us for a special presentation of Historica Canada’s Memory Project. You will hear moving, personal stories from veterans about their military service and learn about the importance of memory, respect, and remembrance.

NOVEMBER 21  Lecture: Three Great Parks of Montreal

2 P.M. to 3:15 P.M. 

We are pleased to invite you to a fascinating lecture, “Montreal’s Three Great Parks, presented by Renée Labrèque and Robert Hamilton. Our guest speakers will explore the history and evolution of these parks, as well as their monuments and statues. They will also discuss the changes the parks have undergone over time, as well as the parks’ connections to notable figures in architecture, botany, culture, and municipal affairs

Celebrate the magic of the holidays at the second annual Eleva Holiday Market! Discover a selection of local vendors, including last year’s favourites and new talents. Handcrafted products, gourmet treats, gift ideas, and decorations await you in a warm, festive setting. Stroll around, chat with the artisans, and enjoy a wonderful time with fellow residents
